Can Cleanroom Face Masks Cause Skin Irritation?

Can Cleanroom Face Masks Cause Skin Irritation?

Q: Can cleanroom face masks cause skin irritation?

A: Anything in contact with your face by rubbing, friction or extended wear may potentially cause irritation, especially if you have sensitive skin. If you have a latex sensitive skin condition, latex adhesive should be avoided in face masks.

Q: Can Berkshire provide me with skin sensitivity information regarding your cleanroom face masks?

A: Yes. Berkshire’s primary skin irritation testing has been performed by a third-party in accordance with the guidelines of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 10993-10, Biological Evaluation of Medical Devices – Part 10: Test for irritation and skin sensitization.
The third-party testing results for all Berkshire face mask SKU’s show no irritation (erythema or edema) observed. Please contact Customer Service for more information.
